It’s compact size and available services enable a mobile professional to stay connected and organized while on the road.The data only BlackBerry 5790 is an attractive and compact option for mobile workers who need to have access to the Internet and email, but don’t wish to have a converged device.

The BlackBerry 5790 works with existing enterprise email accounts and allows a user to set up to 10 personal or business email accounts. This should be plenty for even a power user.The applications and services available for mobile professionals to use with the BlackBerry 5790 include: Email service, Mobile Data Services, Wireless Calendar, Wireless Internet and Attachment service. The wireless calendar function should also provide mobile professionals with the ability to keep their laptop or desktop calendars in sync quickly and easily.

The BlackBerry 5790 works with BlackBerry Enterprise Server which is supported by Version 2.1 or higher Microsoft® Exchange, Version 2.0 with SP 2 or higher for Lotus® Domino™.The BlackBerry 5790 comes with a cradle which can be used as a dock and for charging the unit. It also includes BlackBerry Desktop software.Security has not been overlooked in the BlackBerry 5790 and there is the function to password protect the unit.
