BlackBerry 6750

The BlackBerry® 6750 Wireless Handheld includes phone, email, SMS, browser and organizer applications in a single wireless device. It features a large monochrome screen and Java™ development platform and operates on the CDMA2000® 1X Network.

Size: 4.76 x 3.03 x 0.71 inches / 12.1 x 7.7 x 1.8cm (LxWxD)
Weight: 5.06 oz/143g
Display: High contrast monochrome screen, User selectable font sizes

The BlackBerry 6750™ is a data and voice-enabled wireless handheld that uses the Bell cellular network. This device might be directly compared with the Tungsten|w which has very similar functionality. The Tungsten|c has 802.11b WiFi wireless connectivity, and does not use the cellular network. The greatest feature of the Blackberry 6750 is the “Always On, Always Connected”. The support person is able to receive messages which may be of an urgent nature and respond accordingly.

By default, the Blackberry 6750 comes with Backberry Desktop Manager version 3.6.0. It also comes with a Blackberry Web Client that when connected to your PDA will synchronize your messages. Basically, when I am away from my desk I configure univmail to redirect emails to the PDA.The web browser is not very good. Because it is a cellular connection it is rather slow and cumbersome to use. Added WiFi connection to the Blackberry along with its cellular wireless connection would be the ultimate solution. Also at this point there is no CorporateTime plugin for calendar integration.

With Toshiba?s M100 system the core principal is the same; scanning the picture 100 times a second rather than 50. But here, with LCD being a largely flicker-free technology, the reason for doubling the scanning rate is actually to counter the problems LCD traditionally has showing rapid motion. The thinking being that adding extra frames [...]

Belkin TuneBase FM
12 Mar 2010

The TuneBase is significantly sturdier than it looks, and in my testing held my iPod mini perfectly still in almost all cases ?the more treacherous urban potholes resulted in little more than a mild sway. And because of the length of the neck, I was able to position the iPod mini at a much more [...]
